Ever wonder if you made the right choice in jobs, or if your career path might have looked dramatically different had you chosen a divergent path?

On Friday April 13, PR industry experts Paul Maccabee of Maccabee and Greg Zimprich of Medtronic will converge at Maccabee offices for a lively debate on ‘Where Do You Belong: Agency vs. Client-side Careers’.

Whether you’re new to the industry or you’re a PR veteran who’s wondered about “the other side,” join us for an abundance of practical advice from two veterans of the local PR scene. While each side has its joys and hardships, no one knows the advantages – and challenges – of working on the agency or the corporate side quite like they do.

Greg Zimprich remembers “an announcement that required back-to-back 20-hour days. Everything came together because of our team’s hard work, and we drove over 100 million impressions. Seeing your hard work pay huge dividends is one of the most rewarding parts of our jobs. We were exhausted, but it was a good kind of tired.” The human connection is powerful and oftentimes can be both motivating and rewarding.

You know that moment that connects with you on such a personal level that just makes you so proud? That happened to Paul Maccabee with “our agency’s launch of Hazelden’s ground-breaking anti-addiction campaign, “Four Generations Overcoming Addiction,” followed by the employee-focused “Making Recovery Everyone’s Business” PR program. As someone who has seen the toll of addiction first-hand among family and friends, to play a small role in getting more people into treatment with PR was tremendously meaningful to me.”

If Greg and Paul weren’t doing PR, you might be able to find Greg tending his very own apple orchard. Paul, on the other hand, likely would be busking (street performing) on the streets of Tel Aviv. His Vanishing Falafel Plate trick is legendary across Israel.
