Developing and Leveraging Corporate Responsibility in Your Organization

Online registration is now closed, but on-site registration will be available!

Corporate social responsibility is becoming increasingly important to customers, employees, strategic partners and shareholders. Key stakeholders are more aware than ever of our interaction with environment and the communities where we operate, and they are often demanding evidence of responsible business practices as a requirement for doing business with us.

Organizations are responding by formalizing their sustainability efforts and reporting their good works to various publics. These efforts help them attract and retain customers and recruit talent, and often have positive financial and reputational impacts on the organization.

So how do you develop and promote a Corporate Social Responsibility program in your organization? What are some key considerations when establishing a program and communicating to key audiences about your efforts? Our panel of experts will discuss the various aspects of establishing and publicizing a sustainability program across various stakeholders groups.

Moderator:

Ben Saukko, APR, is the Director of Communications at AmeriPride Services and a member of the PRSA Board of Directors.

Our Panel of Experts:

Emilio Tenuta
is Vice President of Corporate Sustainability at Ecolab where he leads the planning and execution of the company’s strategic sustainability platform that is focused on corporate responsibility, internal environmental stewardship and helping more than 1.3 million customers in more than 170 countries operate more sustainably. He is actively involved in advancing global sustainability practices with a significant focus on water stewardship.

Kim Wildermuth is a Partner and Engagement Director at Haberman, a leading creative engagement agency with a clearly defined mission — to tell the stories of pioneers who are making a difference in the world. In her current role, she helps mission-driven clients develop strategic engagement plans to reach the right people and achieve their business objectives. Her recent experience includes such clients as Allina Health, ClearWay Minnesota, Just BARE Chicken and Lorissa’s Kitchen.

Prior to her current role, she supported Medtronic’s executive communications strategy and developed messaging for a variety of issues, including value-based healthcare. She also spent a sabbatical in Uganda, working with an indigenous NGO focused on healthcare and human rights.
