Relevancy Top Priority for 2017 Minnesota PRSA Board

The Minnesota chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) has installed its executive leadership team and Board of Directors for 2017. The board’s first full meeting is Feb. 20 in St. Louis Park.

 

Led by new President Heather Cmiel, APR, Global Marketing Communications Strategist with 3M Critical & Chronic Care Solutions Division, Minnesota PRSA is comprised of more than 400 corporate, agency, independent, non-profit and government public relations professionals from Minnesota, the Dakotas and western Wisconsin.

 

Through its programs and services, Minnesota PRSA delivers on its mission to:

  • Engage its members at every stage of their careers with the knowledge, resources and connections to achieve professional excellence
  • Drive ethical and strategic outcomes
  • Advocate for the profession.

“I’m honored to lead such a vital, important professional association, especially during a time in which communications, ethics and professionalism are at center stage,” Cmiel said. “We anticipate that the profession of public relations will be discussed and debated vigorously in the near future. My job and primary focus for 2017 is to make sure that the Minnesota chapter continues to be relevant to its current and future members and this vibrant community.”

 

The chapter’s 2017 leadership consists of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors as follows:
