You know visuals are important to telling your brand story. But do you understand different ways to think about design, how to engage the mind and eyes through creative, innovative approaches?

Join us at MSR Design in Minneapolis on Jan. 18 for a panel of experts to expand your ideas about design. Register at Minnesota PRSA, The Art of Storytelling: Telling Your Brand Story Through Design. The panel of experts includes:

Moderator:  Doug Spong, APR, Fellow PRSA

Doug sums up his purpose in life as “Creating ideas that put the ‘pop’ in pop culture.”  Now in his 35th year of inspiring the world around us, Doug is the founder and CEO of The Doug Spong Co. LLC. His unique specialty is helping world-class PR, advertising, design and digital agencies ignite their growth by discovering their purpose, articulating their position and developing go-to-market strategies. He’s the consultant to the consultants.

Prior to founding The Doug Spong Co., Doug was the founder, president and managing partner of Minneapolis-based Carmichael Lynch and Spong, which is owned by Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG). The firm that bears his name is a four-time “Agency of the Year,” two-time “Creative Agency of the Year” and a perennial “Best Places to Work.”

Tricia Christiansen, Christiansen Creative

Tricia Christiansen is creative director and owner of Christiansen Creative, a graphic design studio focused on positive impact. For the past fifteen years her studio has worked with both larger companies regionally and smaller organizations within her community of Hudson, Wisconsin. Each client the studio partners with has a story of improving the world through their industry or their own community.

Her combination of talent, leadership, success, newsworthiness and community service earned her a spot on GDUSA’s 2017 People to Watch. In her 20+ years of experience Tricia has worked at a printing company, ad agency, and a PR firm prior to starting her studio. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Drake University.

Megan Schletty, Target

Megan is a senior communications manager at Target, leading internal marketing to an audience of tens of thousands of team members at headquarters and in field locations nationwide.

Over the last four years, Megan and her team have changed the way Target thinks about team member communications – moving from formal, tops-down messaging to tangible, unified experiences designed to help team members see their role in Target’s strategy. The team was created in 2014, as Target worked to recover from a series of business challenges, including a devastating data breach in the middle of the holiday season.

Most recently, Megan led a comprehensive internal campaign – including leadership appearances, interactive exhibits, video and outside speakers – to introduce Target’s new purpose. In nearly 10 years at Target, Megan has held positions across Marketing. Prior to joining the company, she worked for a local ad agency. Megan graduated from the University of Wisconsin, studying marketing and art history.

Tamar Ribnick, MSR
Tamar has focused her career as a leader in workplace design and exploring unique strategies and solutions to best serve her clients present and future needs.  An associate Interior Designer at MSR, Tamar works closely with clients to promote collaborative relationships and integrated design processes.

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Design Art Architecture and Planning, Tamar’s work has received notable recognition, including an International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Northland Chapter FAB Award and publication in Architecture Minnesota’s annual interior design issue. Tamar’s deep understanding of space and passion for design help create meaningful connections between project design and client vision.
