Minnesota PRSA is proud to celebrate Margaret Ann Hennen, APR, Fellow PRSA, as the 2025 recipient of the PRSA College of Fellows Outstanding Leadership Award—one of the highest honors bestowed by the College.
This prestigious award recognizes a Fellow who demonstrates exceptional leadership within the College of Fellows, sustained service to the profession and a deep commitment to advancing public relations. Margaret Ann exemplifies these qualities through her decades-long dedication to mentorship, ethics, governance and strengthening the PRSA community both locally and nationally.
A longtime leader within Minnesota PRSA, Margaret Ann served on the chapter’s Board of Directors—including a term as president in 1997—as well as the chapter’s first Ethics Officer in 2001. She is also the recipient of the Donald G. Padilla Community Excellence Award (1999) and the PRSA Midwest District Platinum Award (2024), which recognize an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and contributions to the profession of public relations.
Throughout her career, she has mentored colleagues, offered sage guidance to professionals at all stages, supported chapter programming and championed initiatives that elevate the profession. Her leadership and insight have inspired countless practitioners and left a lasting imprint on all who know her.
Her impact extends well beyond Minnesota. Margaret Ann has served PRSA nationally through terms on the Board of Directors, the Board of Ethics and Professional Standards, College of Fellows leadership and both the Selection and Nominating Committees. Across each role, she has been recognized for her integrity, steady leadership and enduring commitment to the advancement of the field.
