Career Coffee: Chapter One: So You Want to Be an Author
About this event

As professional storytellers, public relations and communications professionals are uniquely equipped to bring compelling stories to life. Many of us have imagined turning our ideas into books—whether through historical fiction, fantasy, science fiction, mystery, nonfiction or children’s literature—but knowing where to begin can feel overwhelming.
This Career Coffee session features local public relations professionals who have successfully published their own book(s). Panelists will share their personal journeys, lessons learned and practical insights into developing ideas, navigating the publishing process and balancing creative pursuits with professional careers. Attendees will gain inspiration, encouragement and actionable guidance for taking the first steps toward becoming a published book author. Whether you’re actively writing, outlining your first concept or simply curious about the book writing and publishing process, this session will help you explore how your storytelling skills can translate into meaningful, marketable books.
