PR Skill Spark At PR Skill Spark, college students and recent grads are invited to attend a day of workshops that will help them excel in their future Public Relations careers. The hands-on workshops, led by communications professionals, will cover techniques that are utilized daily within the industry, including essential writing and media relations skills. Demonstrations will offer an inside look into the PR profession and help students understand the type of expertise employers are looking for.

- Keegan Leddy, Padilla Building media relationships and pitching stories to reporters are entry-level skills that most PR jobs require. However, it’s not always easy to gain this experience without being in the workforce. Pitching 101 will give an overview of how to identify reporters and tailor pitches to ensure earned media placements.

This session will walk through various writing test prompts and give an overview of the most common writing mistakes.
