Join us as we get together in person for a night of celebration to honor excellence in public relations and the amazing work our community has done this year. Minnesota PRSA's 45th Classics Awards banquet will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. Central. Click here to view the list of finalists.
This year's program will be hosted by former agency owners and local PR icons Dave Mona and Scott Meyer!
Run of show:
- 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. - Registration and cocktail hour (light hors d'oeuvres served)
- 6:15 p.m. - President’s welcome & buffet stations open
- 6:45 - 7:00 p.m. - Guests are seated & program begins
- 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. - Award ceremony
- 8:30 - 9:30 p.m. - Dessert/coffee bar
- 9:30 p.m. - Venue close
Location and Parking:
International Market Square is located at 275 Market St, Minneapolis, MN 55405. Parking is free in the lot in front of the building entrance, and there should be plenty of spots for all attendees to park.
Raffle Prizes:
Along with the Classics award winner announcements, we will also hold a raffle! Prizes include Minnesota Twins tickets, a gift basket, hotel stay, Nickelodeon Universe wristbands, an iPad and gift cards to local restaurants.
Food + Drinks:
Light hors d'oeuvres will be served during cocktail hour, and the bar will be open for attendees to use their complimentary drink tickets or for purchase. There will be non-alcoholic options available as well. Dinner options include a slider station, pasta station and taqueria station, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
A special thank you to FleishmanHillard who will be providing all attendees with an additional complimentary drink titled The Power of True Blue Punch. These are available in a limited quantity so please limit yourself to one.
Dress Code:
We encourage you to wear cocktail/semi-formal attire but it is not required. Wear what makes you feel comfortable.
About the Classics Awards:
Since 1978, the Minnesota PRSA Classics Awards have recognized hundreds of organizations for excellence in public relations. The Classics are presented annually to public relations practitioners who, in the judgment of their peers, have successfully addressed a communications challenge with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness.
The Classics Awards are divided into two categories: Elements and Programs. Elements Awards recognize outstanding individual components or tactics, while Programs awards honor the best overall public relations campaigns.
We’ll also be honoring winners of the Student Classics Awards to showcase some of the best public relations work from college students in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
